Tax-free limit regulations: For overseas online shopping goods, the taxable value must not exceed 2,000 TWD. A maximum of 6 purchases is allowed in each half of the year, totaling up to 12 purchases per year. Alternatively, you can invite friends and family to purchase together to increase the purchase limit. If the limit is exceeded, customs will levy import tax and business tax according to the law.
Frequent imports are prone to taxation: If the number of shipments exceeds 2 times within a month or 6 times within six months, and the shipments are from the same sender to the same recipient and address, they are likely to be taxed regardless of whether the taxable value of the package is below 2,000 TWD.
